I learned to crochet in middle school at my local library and I loved making friendship bracelets as a child. However, it wasn't until I was working at my alma mater when an artfully designed yarn bombing advertising knitting sessions caught my attention. After two frustrating hours where I could not cast on, I went home and studied knittinghelp.com to learn that I am a continental knitter. I have been knitting for 8 years now and my passion has become fingering weight socks --- I love to knit with double pointed needles!

I enjoy helping others learn more about knitting and crochet whether you are completely new or looking to practice different techniques. I also love to help fix mistakes so you can get back to the joy of creating. I have recently started to learn how to spin and sew and I suspect weaving may be next on my list. I am available at the Tampa location on knit nights and most weekends so stop by and stay hi! You can also find me on Ravelry: educatemissjax and on Instagram: @jacquedubose

For our 2019 Team KAL, I will be knitting the Please and Thank You socks by The Sweater Collective. This sock pattern is written for all sock knitters whether you prefer to knit your socks toe up, cuff down, by magic loop method or with dpns. The fun part is we get the cable effect without having to knit cables! I chose The Fiber Seed Sprout Sock for my yarn because I love both the colorways and durability of Sprout Sock. I am so excited to lead #teamjacque in making a beautiful pair of socks this winter!
